Halloween Weekend

We're here in Norge, close to the Pottery near Williamsburg Virginia on Halloween weekend. The leaves on the trees are fast turning orange, red and crispy brown. The temperature the past few mornings has been colder than earlier in the week. I suppose Fall is finally here. The campground is full; ghosts and goblins, orange lights and spider webs adorn the neighboring sites. My goodness, the stores have been chok full of candy and costumes for weeks now, the campground was hoppin' till all hours last night. I wonder how Holloween got to be such a popular holiday? It's not my favorite. I'm honestly glad this weekend is over. It's getting cold and I'm not looking forward to Winter. I'm beginning to hate the cold...November has arrived. Frost warning tonight in Norge. We have one more week here then off to North Carolina. We met som pretty nice folks here at the Thousand Trails Park in Norge, Eric and Lisa, Jack and Jake an awesome sweet collie. Jacks wife Elaine we didn't meet but there's always a next time. One of the neatest aspects of living in a rolling home is you never know when you'll meet again, another park, another state...we always keep our eyes pealed for a familiar face. Remembering their name is a different story. Our contact cards are ever present over the door so when the time comes to say goodbye we can exchange contact information. Facebook and email are the best ways to stay in touch. We have met many across the country that we look forward to catching up with online. Next week we plan on doing just that in North Carolina, mulled wine and good conversation around a blazing campfire with friends, no better way to spend a chilly fall evening.
